This first struck me as google earth view. which i think adds to its interest. you have to get up closer to see what's going on. blending is well done too. I think you achieved your concept, with everything sort of gravitating towards that middle part.
The expression in this piece is what makes it great in my eyes. the colors are muted and the real life elements complement the drawings rather than distracting from them.
i love the muted color scheme you chose for your piece. Your drawings are also integrated flawless into the photographs. As a whole I think it's working very well.
I love your use of drawings within your pieces, girl. They give it an ethereal air when placed on top of the world image. I also love the Escher-esque thing you have going on the right side where the fish tend to blend into the bird and make it an endless cycle. Your blending modes worked out very well and making them glow against the color was a great choice!
I really like the colors. The way you included the drawings really works well. I like how they are somewhat blurred but there is enough there to see a figure. I really like the motion that is created when the animal figures spiral into the light circle.
Hi Christina Not much to add to what we talked about in class. Looks like you had it pretty well resolved then. Possibly bring some of the green On the left into the blue on the right and vice versa. Overall good work nice job.
I really resonate with the quality of the hand work in this piece. It's incredibly painterly, expressive and dream-like. The movement and colors really move your eyes through the piece and create a sensation of calm. Nice work.
So glad you added color to the final piece. Some of the image gets a little muddied on the right side, but other than that it's a great image!

ReplyDeleteI like your color choices, and how you use the tree as a suggestion of a circle instead of having it focused. The drawings look great.
